Contact: Martín Barraza Sánchez (resident agent) With a total of 42 rooms, this three-star hotel is located in front of the Urubamba River and offers an excellent view of the hills that made up the surroundings of the Machu Picchu citadel. It is the only hotel of the area that has an elevator. It does not have an accessible entrance because there are eight large steps between the street and the main door. Besides, from this entrance to the reception desk there are other five steps. However, they had designed movable ramps, with a very steep slope, and there are always personnel willing to provide assistance. Between the main entrance and the reception desk we can find a restaurant and a small room. The hotel has a pretty large elevator; the control panel is placed at a 1.20-meter height (in its higher part) and has luminous signs. Standard rooms have doors with a free width of 0.77 m. Even though the bathrooms of these rooms are wide and have enough space to handle a wheelchair, the doors' free width is only of 0.62 m, therefore they are not accessible for persons in wheelchairs. Junior suites are wider rooms but their bathrooms are a lot like those of standard rooms. With regard to public areas, the bar and the Internet cabin are accessible without assistance. The restaurant is accessible with assistance and does not have accessible public restrooms. The hotel has 32 rooms, none of which had been especially fitted-out for persons in wheelchairs. Besides, they are located at the upper floor and the hotel does not have an elevator (19 staircases). Some rooms have doors of 0.77 m wide, telephone with luminous sign and switches are easy to reach from the bed. The restaurant and the coffee house are accessible with assistance because the access as of the parking area is made through a steep ramp. The restaurant provides table service and buffet. Public restrooms are not accessible. |
