WALKING
Few countries have the privilege of having such a variety of ecological floors as ours. In Cusco, international tourists are really keen on trekking or excursions as they are not only in contact with the population from Cusco and its customs but they also go along especial streets which allow them to go away of pollution and urban development.
The Imperial city is surrounded by wonderful landscapes that satisfy the most demanding adventure people who dare to try it. Certainly, the diverse types of trekking vary in difficulty, physic demand and resistance.

Usual circuits
To go along the main routes of trekking you do not need the service of a specialised agency. There are fixed and very frequent circuits such as the trekking of Ausangate, Salcantay and the Inca Trail.
The trekking circuits may be performed easily with the help of a detailed map and the important orientation of local people. Then, every ravine and corner in Cusco becomes into a very potential circuit to be done.
Route
The scenarios are diverse. In the Sacred Valley of Cusco there are multiple options that allow the traveler to choose the most amazing and exciting excursion routes.
For the adventure sport lovers such as cycling, horse riding and paragliding, among others, we offer you the following tourist circuits: Yucay, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray, Pisac and Urubamba.
This is a privilege sport in Cusco. The beauty of its landscapes and the rural characteristic of this department (giving them an especial quietness) make of the cycle routes unforgettable experiences. Mountain cycle is also an excellent possibility to visit the archaeological remain near Cusco (B2) such as Sacsayhuaman, Quenco, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara. It is also possible to make an excursion to the Sacred Valley and take your bike for some days. You can rent bikes for hours or days in agencies near the Main Square.
Among all the cycling circuits in Cusco we suggest:
Going around the Ausangate
(B3) The circuit starts and ends in the town of Tinqui very near to Ocongate. Along the circuit you pass by three creeks and get up to 5200 m.a.s.l. During this difficult five-day circuit you will admire amazing mountainous landscapes. Difficulty degree: 5.
Calca- Lares- Quillabamba
(B2) This is a part of the circuit that mixes the ecological floors in a perfect way during five days. You can get back from Quillabamba by local train. Difficulty degree 4 over 5.
Cusco- Puerto Maldonado
To start this circuit, you should take a truck to the village of Tinqui. From there, you cycle as far as the jungle. It takes one week and the difficulty degree is 4 over 5.
