SAN FRANCISCO MUSEUM Address: Plaza San Francisco s/n. Description: It is the biggest Museum of Cusco, and, without ay doubt, one of the most attractive. It is located in the Franciscan convent in two floors of the second cloister, the Antechoir and the Choir of the Church. Its walls exhibit valuable canvas of the Academy of Cusco dedicated to the life of Saint Francisco performed by Basilio Santa Cruz, Marcos Ribera, Juan Zapata Inca and others. The cloister ceilings show a spectacular work of coffered ceiling in gypsum and cedar woodcarvings. In the wall linking the first and the second floor, there is an important canvas of 108m2. The family three of the Franciscan Family, work of Juan Espinosa de los Monteros dated in 1699. In the main entrance hall, we admire the "Last Moments of the man or the Final judge: work of Diego Quispe Tito. The capitulary room shows a series of 14 canvas of Saint Antonio de Padua among which the "Donkey communion" or the "Miracle of wheat". One of the main attractions of the museum is the set of chairs in the choir composed by eighty places and the woodcarving of Franciscan martyrs from Japan whose authors were Sebastián Rodríguez and Luis Montes.
